Q & A

Q: We are an OEM equipment manufacturer and may require design services from time to time. How can Consultronix interface with our existing design team?
A: Consultronix can provide design services to the extent you require. Whether you need an entire system developed, only the control system or only the user interface and control software to your hardware design, Consultronix will work with your staff to provide an optimized solution.

Q: How does Consultronix provide after-market service on its software products or services which I may obtain?
A: Consultronix’ normal policy on software services provides for a 30 day warranty on software product debugging after the software has been installed and signed off by the customer. Maintenance contracts are available to support sustained engineering services.

Q: If I wish to engage the services of Consultronix, will you be willing to come to our facilities to discuss our problem?
A: Consultronix will come to your facilities upon your request to discuss your needs. The travel expenses are paid by the customer. Other arrangements may be made, depending on location and length of stay.

Q: We are located in Asia. Do you provide services in our location?
A: Consultronix has been providing services for companies in North America, Europe and Asia since 1975. We will be glad to discuss your requirements with you.

Q: How does Consultronix charge for its services?
A: If the contract calls for the development of a control system, an instrument or a piece of equipment, a specification will be drawn up and agreed upon by both parties. A fixed price fee will be established before the work begins based on the specifications.

Q: What if I want to change the specifications after the project has been completed?
A: Consultronix is flexible in this regard. If it is a well-defined and straight forward change that is required, Consultronix will establish a fee dependent on the amount of work involved. If the customer feels the product will evolve over a period of time, a longer term maintenance contract can be used.
